The SI-MET College of Nursing Chavara established in 2025, is a unit of the State Institute of Medical Education and Technology (SI-MET), Government of Kerala undertaking.

The college offers 4 years B.Sc. Nursing program with intake 60 students, affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC).

The college is located in the shrine village of Chavara, just 1.5 km from the bus stand. It is built on 3 acres of land, with total area of 28,750 Sq.ft and features modern classrooms, nursing laboratories, library and computer lab. All facilities are well equipped to support learning. The college ensures students receive both theoretical knowledge and hands-on clinical training.

Government Taluk Hospital, Karunagappally, is designated as parent hospital which provides excellent healthcare services to the community.

Students also gain practical experience through training at reputed hospitals such as Government Taluk Hospital, Karunagappally, Govt. Taluk Hospital, Neendakara, A.A Rahim District hospital & Govt. Victoria Hospital, Kollam. This prepares them to face real-world healthcare challenges.
