COLLEGE OF NURSING, MUTTATHARA THIRUVANANTHAPURAM

SI-MET college of nursing Muttathara was established in the year 2015. The college is presently functioning at Pattoor at Thiruvananthapuram city.

The college offers undergraduate nursing programme (BSc Nursing) of 4 years duration and is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC) and Indian Nursing Council (INC).

Philosophy

SI-MET College of Nursing, Muttathara believe that Nursing is a profession based on holistic concept of health care, towards identifying health needs of people, planning and providing high quality care in collaboration with health professionals & community groups.

We believe that the four year Bachelor of Science in Nursing conducted by Si-MET under Kerala University of Health Sciences will uplift the standard of Nursing profession and be able to work as a competent nurse administrator, nurse educator, nurse practitioner and nurse researcher in various health care setting.

Based on the National Health Policy 2022 and Kerala Vision 2010-2015 and the vision of former Indian President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Government of Kerala has taken a special interest to start nursing colleges under SI-MET to strengthen nursing education and nursing services throughout Kerala. We abide to stand for fulfilment of their vision and to meet the health needs of people residing with us in our locality and our state at large.
